Would you consider sponsoring a student for the 2007/2008 school year for only $ 250.00? they will be grateful and you will be blessed!

Proverbs 19:17 "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again".

To Our Web Visitors,

God is good all the time! He is blessing the work in the Philippines. The Humphrey Foundation Learning Center/School (HFLC) is now government approved from kindergarten through the fourth grade, in keeping with adding a grade each year.

The HFLC is located in one of the poor urban areas of Angeles City, wherein poverty is rampant. Children work or steal by any means they can to put food on the table. Since they have no education, the most common labor for these children is garbage scavenging, begging in the streets, and child prostitution. Hard work for the day enables them to earn 30 pesos (63¢) for the day which is enough to feed their family one meal, which eventually leads children to experience malnutrition. Children under the age of six buy rugby, a solvent (shoe glue), which can be bought at a cheap price. They sniff this solvent to numb their craving for food which also debilitates their brain process as it gives them a high. Some children are sold by their own parents to foreign pedophiles and some voluntarily engage in prostitution so that their family can have a better living. The church's Learning Center has common cases where children ages 5 to 8 years old have had traumatic experiences due to physical abuse from a drug addict father or adult brother, raped and sodomized by a drunkard stepfather or verbally abused by an alcoholic mother. These children have found refuge and safety in our Learning Center as our dedicated teachers patiently reach out to them with love and care, cry and pray with them for emotional and physical healing. Our education program aims to share the gospel with the children and provide a good education in order to break this generational deterioration. We believe that sharing God's Word will make a difference in their lives. Through the children, we'll connect the parents to the church and the church ministers to their parents and family. We have testimonies of children healed from emotional pain while some are still in the process of healing. We believe that only God can help these children break from their state of continual decline. We believe this ministry is an extension of God's hands and feet.

These children need your help! We have thousands of children like this that we work with on a daily basis; however, we cannot get them all in our school but we are able to have 140 children registered for our 2007/2008 school year at the HFLC which is fully registered and licensed by the Filipino Department of Education.

Our budget has topped the $35,000 mark for the school alone, but it is well worth the investment into these young lives that can change their home, community, city, and the country back to serving God. If you knew a $250.00 donation would help a young child out of poverty and give them hope in Christ, would you consider that? This amount covers a full year of tuition, medical, dental, and accidental insurance, books, and a quality education that is Christian based. If our 140 children each have sponsorship for the school year 2007/2008, our budget will be met and God will bless everyone that sponsors a needy but worthy child.

Will you be willing to invest in a child's life, giving them a brighter hope for their future?

You may also give through the Church of God World Missions Project # 102-3038 Humphrey Humanitarian Ministries.

Thank you for your consideration,

Roy L. Humphrey

Revival Nights

+A Two-Night Revival

+Altar Call

The HCM held two Revival Nights in HCM compound. During the program, the people enjoyed a lively praise and worship after which a powerful message was delivered by Rev. Robert Castle. Many people received Jesus during the altar call and many came forward to receive healing from the Lord. After the service, the guests helped in distributing bag of groceries to the families who have attended. In two nights, there are hundreds of people who have heard the gospel.

+HFLC Foundation Day Celebration - Day 1

+HFLC Motorcade. Our guests, on a kalesa ride

Despite of the busy schedule of our guests from ministering through different humanitarian ministries with the HHM workers, not to mention the hot philippine weather, they were still able to join the foundation day celebration of Humphrey Foundation Learning Center. They joined the annual motorcade this morning and was invited to judge the costume and the parade float contest.

Women's 3rd Year Anniversary

+Women's Ministry Anniversary Celebration

+The ladies singing for Jesus

The Women's Ministry celebrated their 3rd year anniversary with the theme, "Born to serve the Lord." Mama Ann Humphrey as the speaker encourages the women about serving the Lord. Before Mama Ann gave the message, a video of sister Lena Humphrey singing a song and giving her greetings was shown to the congregation. After the message, the women gave their special numbers – one group sings while another group presented a Filipino Folk Dance. Instead of preparing food for the celebration of anniversary, the Women's Ministry gave out grocery bags so that the mothers will cook the food in their house with their family instead.

Evangelization

Waterwell Ministry+

Papa Roy with the company of
Humphrey Community on their shower time.

HHM is well-known in the community for water wells. We have dug three wells and installed pumps to provide clean water for the people. "No one who fetches water from this well will remain unsaved, so goes the saying... God always has means for them to get to know Him. A God who provides drinking water for them also provides living water". Praise God!!! These wells with pumping equipment cost about $1,000 each. We would like to install five new wells this year. Would you prayerfully consider providing clean water as a mission project?

This great endeavor is truly a phenomenon! No one could ever have imagined that God would bring it into being. It is due in part to a retired Army sergeant and his wife, who would not give up on hundreds of children. These children were left behind when thousands of American GIs were taken out of the Philippines, leaving these unwed mothers pregnant with their unborn as well as those already born babies to fend for themselves. We have not been able to care for them all but, by the help of the Lord and you, we will be there to help as many as we possibly can.
